Roll-off bins for builders, for about 20 years
Bear Services has spent about 20 years giving Utah County contractors roll-off containers at a fair price, and that's still most of what we do. Single lots, custom homes, full subdivisions, tenant improvements, demolition: the bin gets dropped where the crew can reach it and swapped before it slows anyone down.
The 30 yard is the jobsite standard. Twenty-two feet long, six feet high, 24,000 lb limit, big enough for framing scrap, siding, roofing and demo. The 15 yard is the finish-stage bin, for drywall, trim, flooring and packaging once the heavy work is done.

Why contractors like being billed on weight
Most haulers charge a flat rate per pull and guess at the weight. We weigh every load. The delivery and removal price includes the first ton; the rest is the scale weight of what was actually in the bin. A bin of framing offcuts costs less than a bin of shingles, the way it should. We can do that because the load goes to the Five Mile Pass C&D landfill, which Dunn Companies, our parent, owns and operates.
Loading heavy materials
- Concrete, brick, block, dirt and asphalt reach the weight limit fast. Fill the bin part way and tell dispatch what's going in.
- Roofing is heavier than it looks: a typical tear-off fills a 30 yard well before the limit, but pack it level so the load can be hauled.
- Keep out hazardous waste: paint, solvents, oil, batteries, tires and refrigerant appliances.
- Nothing above the fill line. The driver can't haul an overloaded bin.
Placement and access
The truck needs a straight, reasonably level run of about 60 feet to set the bin. Gravel pads and dirt lots are fine. If the bin has to sit on a public street, most cities in Utah County want a right-of-way permit before it goes down. For a subdivision, send us the plat and we'll work out a rotation with the super.

How fast can you swap a full bin on a jobsite?
Text the main line when it's close to full and dispatch will slot the swap. On active subdivisions we usually run a rotation so the crew never waits on a bin.
Can we put concrete, dirt or brick in it?
Yes, but watch the weight. Concrete and dirt hit the 12,000 or 24,000 lb limit with the bin only a few feet full, so load it part way and tell dispatch what's going in when you order. Since you're billed on real weight, a dense load isn't a surprise.
Where does the C&D waste end up?
At the Five Mile Pass C&D landfill, which our parent company Dunn Companies owns and runs, along with the Five Mile Pass sand and rock quarry. Owning the back end of the trip is why we can bill on scale weight.
